What Is Webmail?¶
Webmail is email you read and send in your browser — no app needed. Here's what it is and why it's handy.
Webmail is email in your browser¶
Instead of using an app like Outlook or Apple Mail, webmail lets you log in to a website and read, send, and manage your email there. All you need is a browser and your login details.
Why use webmail?¶
- Anywhere — any computer or phone with a browser works.
- No setup — you don't have to configure anything.
- Handy on the go — great for checking mail when you're not on your own device.
Webmail vs. an email app¶
These are two ways to reach the same mailbox:
- Webmail — in a browser. Great for occasional or quick checks.
- An email app (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.) — on your device. Better for daily use and offline access.
You can use both — they access the same inbox. See Set up on your computer and Set up on your phone.
How to log in¶
Log in to webmail with your email address and password. See Webmail for the exact steps, or Log in to webmail if you use Email Hosting.
Get started: see Webmail. Or if you want email on your own domain, see Create an email address.
